These LIES Made Me Leave The Catholic Church… But God brought me back. I believed the things people said—about the Church, about race, about history.

I was told Catholicism wasn’t for Black people. That Christianity was a white man’s religion. That the Church was corrupt, oppressive, and not to be trusted.

So I left.

I walked away from what I grew up in.

I searched everywhere else for truth—through the Nation of Islam, the Five Percenters, New Age spirituality, the conscious community, all of it. But none of it satisfied.

None of it answered the deepest longing in my soul. Because what I was really longing for… was the Eucharist.

What I was missing… was the presence of Jesus Christ in His Church.

This video is not just a personal story—it’s a fire-lit testimony for every person who has wrestled with doubt, identity, and truth. For every Black American who’s ever been told the Church isn’t for them.

For every person who’s left because of scandal, hurt, or misinformation. This is about coming home.

It’s about the fight for your soul. It’s about Jesus, the sacraments, and the Church He founded. And I’m here to say boldly: I’m Catholic. I’m not ashamed. And I’m not going anywhere.
